High School Summer Theology Journey

"Engaging Stories: A Journey of Faith, Life & Action"


As Latino/a high school rising Juniors & Seniors you can expect a week-long JOURNEY of faith, life, and action with your peers, accompanied by college leaders.

Assessment

FAITH

You will explore theology as an academic study, while cultivating your relationship with God, self, & others. (Afternoon sessions)


Faculty Development

LIFE

You will explore the possibilities for your life’s call with new friends as part of a diverse and engaged college community – learning from each other’s stories.

Academic Technology

ACTION

You will learn about Catholic Social Teaching and working for justice, while  growing as a servant leader (Morning sessions)

You will have the opportunity to ask questions about the moral dimensions of current issues. 

There is also opportunity to tell your own spiritual story!

Parents

Your teens will be participating in a variety of program components throughout the week, including community engaged learning. All activities will be well supervised and safe.

We are striving for a 50/50 mix of young men & women.

Fully trained college-age leaders will facilitate the teen small group experiences, and accompany them during interactive faith experiences.

University professors, in collaboration with Instituto Fe y Vida, will present and facilitate topics related to our faith, how faith is reflected in our life, and how our faith calls us to action.

Audience

For Latino/a high school rising Juniors & Seniors (16-18 years old). Registration is limited to 36 first-time participants, 9 returning participants for Leaders in Training, 6 returning participants for Social Media with Catholic Teens, and 6 youth ministers/chaperones.

WHEN

Sunday, June 16, 2024 (arrivals between 2-3pm) to Saturday, June 22, 2024 (program concludes by 10am).

Registration will open on February 1, 2024

Deadline to register: May 15, 2024.

Cost

7 day all inclusive pricing will be approximately:

First-time and Returning participants $450 (+ transaction fee)
Youth Ministers/Chaperones $650 (+transaction fee)

  • Room & Board are covered for each person from Sunday, June 16, 2024 (2pm) to Saturday, June 22, 2024 (10am).
  • There are three (3) meals a day and overnight accommodations will be in аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø dorms.  Sheets, blankets, and towels will be provided.
